Fear of heights,
Fear of spiders,
But what about the fear of love?
Fear of falling,
Fear of heights,
But never the fear of trusting the wrong "one".
Because how do you know,
Know if the warmth in their tone,
Know if the heart they show,
Is really the place that you can call home.
Know if the "always"
Is truly forever
Or instead just a promise,
That will one day be broken.
There’s fear of the silence,
When the talking is done.
Fear of the “always”
Turning to "none".
For in love there will always be fear
That our "better" is not their "best",
That our story is only their chapter.”
But we must let the heights,
Put our courage to the test,
For we cannot find said love
Without leaving the nest.
So we trade in the spiders
For the web that we weave.
Learning to trust,
What we choose to believe.
That beyond the falling
And fear of the fall,
Is the love that we deserve,
The greatest height of all.
